What a seal is

A seal fingerprints every item and photo with SHA-256 and stores the date from this device. Editing or deleting an item clears the seal, so re-seal when you’re done.

It does not prove ownership, value, or when a photo was taken, and it does not guarantee an insurer will accept it.

  • Photograph corners, ceilings and floors as well as contents — context helps.
  • Keep receipts and serial numbers with the item record where you have them.
  • Don’t dispose of damaged items until your insurer says you may.
  • Follow your policy documents and your insurer’s claim instructions.
  • Keep inventory photos separate from post-loss damage photos.

1. What this app is

A personal organising tool for household inventory photos, serials, estimated values and notes, for your own records and insurance claims prep. It is not an insurer, broker, financial adviser, lawyer, valuer or claims advocate.

2. Not advice

Nothing in the app is legal advice or insurance advice. It does not interpret your policy, assess cover, estimate what you will be paid or tell you what to claim. Always read your policy documents and follow your insurer’s claim instructions.

3. No guaranteed outcome

Sealing an inventory or exporting a pack does not guarantee that an insurer, assessor, ombudsman, tribunal or court will accept the pack or pay a claim.

4. What a seal is (and is not)

A seal hashes item IDs and photo digests with SHA-256 and stores a timestamp from this device. It is a dated record of what was logged. It does not prove ownership, value, when or where a photo was taken, or that a photo was not edited before it was added.

5. Your responsibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of records you add, for keeping backups off this device, and for what you share with an insurer or anyone else.

6. No affiliation

Not affiliated with any insurer, the Insurance Council of Australia (ICA), AFCA, the Insurance Council of New Zealand, the IFSO Scheme, or any government regulator.

7. Help (general)

Australia: your insurer’s claims line; unresolved disputes may go to AFCA (afca.org.au). New Zealand: your insurer; unresolved disputes may go to the IFSO Scheme (ifso.nz).

8. Your data and privacy

Records stay on this device. The developer does not receive your photos or inventory. Backups and packs contain your address and home contents — store and share them securely.

9. Payments

In this version, unlocking the Evidence Pack is a demo: no payment is taken. Any A$ / NZ$ price shown is for testing only.

10. Consumer law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right under the Australian Consumer Law, the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, or other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
